Viewing and Managing Videos on Demand (VODs) from Previous Livestreams

This article discusses how to manage your Videos on Demand (VODs) from previous or past livestreams. 

A VOD (Video on Demand) is an archive of content previously streamed live on Whatnot. Utilizing VODs can help:

• grow a seller’s channel.
• allow a seller’s community to watch content they may have missed otherwise.
• help a seller retrieve information regarding a buyer’s order.
• allow the buyer to verify purchases they’ve made. 

When you host a livestream, you can access the full video of that livestream for up to 60 days after the livestream ends. 

Currently, you can only access VODs on the iOS mobile app. 

Accessing and Viewing VODs

You can access VODs by:

• visiting the Past Shows tab on a seller’s profile. Note: Sellers can choose to hide VODs from their profile. 
• visiting the buyer’s Purchases page from their settings.

Viewing VODs from a Seller’s Profile

1. 1. Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device.
   2. Go to any seller profile.
   3. Tap the Past Shows tab.
      
      
   4. Select the desired livestream video. You can identify the VOD by the livestream’s title, date, and time.

Viewing VODs from the Buyer’s Purchases Page

1. Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device. 
2. Tap the profile icon at the far right of the bottom menu bar.
   
   
3. Tap the Menu two-lines icon in the top right corner.
   
   
4. Select Purchases.
   
   
5. Tap on the desired order.
6. Tap Livestream to open the VOD.
   
   
   

Managing VODs

You can do the following with any VOD:

• Pause and play the video as needed. 
• Jump to any part of the recording using the video slider.
• Capture a clip of any part of the livestream. 
• Hide one or all livestream videos from your profile.
  
  Note: Hiding VODs will only remove the VODs from a seller’s profile for all other users. Sellers will still be able to view their videos via their profile. Hidden videos can still be accessed via the buyer’s order page or the VOD’s direct URL. 

Hiding a Specific VOD From Your Profile

1. Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device.
2. Tap the profile icon at the far right of the bottom menu bar.
   
   
3. Tap the Past Shows tab.
   
   
4. Select the desired VOD.
5. Tap on the More three-dot icon, then select Hide livestream. 

Hiding All VODs From Your Profile

By default, all VODs will appear on your profile. To hide all VODs:

1. Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device.
2. Tap the profile icon at the far right of the bottom menu bar.
   
   
3. Tap the Menu two-lines icon in the top right corner.
   
   
4. Under the Account section, tap Settings.
   
   
5. Tap the toggle next to Your Past Shows to hide all VODs.
